Using the "Top Offers" section to provide different coloured backgrounds, but you can only have left aligned text. These do however look good on a phone.  You can also change the colour of the background of the whole section if you want to.

I have very fond memories of my childhood in the Polish camp in Marsworth. The people of Marsworth village were very friendly and helped in any way they could.

The Polish men used to drink at the Red Lion – but not at the White Lion. The Poles were very nice people to get on with.

A Table with some Quotes

With a table, the text in each row is nicely separated and you can align it left, right or centre, but you can't change the background colour AND they don't work well on mobile phones because you have to scroll the whole table left and right to see what's in it.

Three Text Boxes with a Quote

Rows of text are not as nicely separated as in a table BUT the text does wrap nicely on a mobile phone.

Maps of Marsworth using Image gallery - Style 1

Hover over an image to see a caption, click on an image to enlarge it.  Caption display is generally poor.  Captions do not appear on thumbnails at all on phone, but they do appear when you enlarge them.  Conclusion, best not to use this unless you either add a caption to a picture directly or it's obvious what the picture depicts.  DON'T FORGET TO PRESS SAVE BUTTON BOTTOM RIGHT IF MAKE ANY CHANGES TO A GALLERY!

Maps of Marsworth using Image gallery - Style 2

Slideshow view. Can control whether it moves to next image automatically and the display time or you can require images to be advanced manually. Hover over a image to see a description, click on an image to enlarge it.  Also button bottom right to view it in full page mode.  Does not show captions at all on phone!  Therefore same comments apply as for style 1.

Maps of Marsworth using 3 Columns Element

This allows you to caption the photos nicely and to add a little description.  You can use different numbers and sizes of columns depending on the shape of the photos and there are options to resize and align photos in columns for a neat presentation.  You should add a text prompt to say click a photo to enlarge it.   You can also add extra photos and text to extend the element downwards effectively adding an extra row.  You can use the duplicate function to duplicate any element in each column and then edit it.  This will retain any formatting you have done e.g. font size.

This aerial view was taken in 1944  The positions of the various sites have been added to it.

This map shows the main sites in relation to other landmarks and features in the village.

Hand Drawn Map

This map was drawn from memory by Lutek Foremniak, one of the residents. It shows sites 7 and 8 in some detail.

2 Column Element

In this one I have used a two column element to allow a heading and this text in one column and a picture on the right.  I think you might be able to achieve a similar effect with the Image With Text element, but there are some differences, good and bad, see below. It's a case of choosing the right horse for the right course.

I can't see any improvement here on 'Insert Text & Image'

Image With text

This is similar to the use of a 2 column element above.  It has the advantage that the column widths can be varied by resizing the photo, but creating the heading above with the large font makes the spacing between the lines of small font widely spaced.  With the 2 column element above, the text is separate from the heading and you can even add dividing lines.
